Dear All,
I have summarized your online discussions into four critical themes. You'll notice that there was no specific reference to technology. That is because we assume that technology will be interwoven throughout. Please reference technology as you gather supporting evidence for each theme. At this point, there are three things we need from you:
- Let us know if these themes are an accurate summary
- Gather supporting evidence to help you lead the breakout sessions at your schools and post it on each themes discussion board
- Get you ideas, even if they are random, online to keep the discussion going.
This is going to be awesome!!
1) Pre-Conference - Update profile, Cell Phone Voting Application (Links)
2) Create your question for the Treasure Hunt (link)
3) Special Guest: The Slice Program
4) Break-out Rooms
- 2020 - Holy Rosary, Olds, Salisbury Composite,
- 2030 - Queen Elizabeth, Spring Bank, Notre Dame
5) Look at Critical Questions
6) School Tube - (Time Permitting)
Welcome Everyone! Your task for the next week is to:
1. Create/Edit your profile
2. Post your summary of the assigned article (Blog)
a. Holy Rosary, Father Lacombe, Olds, Pembina Hills – Is Technology Really the Future?
b. Queen Elizabeth, Spring Bank, Salisbury Composite, Notre Dame – An Example of the Future’s School?
3. Contribute to the discussion on what the 4 critical questions should be for the March 1st conference
4. If there is a something one of your students would like to talk about, technology we should use, let me know and we can add them to Feb 17th agenda
5. Optional: Start your own discussions, post what you think are relevant articles, links, videos. If you have a more developed idea that you would like to share, start your own blog
It's great having you all onboard!!
