About Me
I am completing a Master of Rural (Environment and Resource) Sociology at the University of Alberta. My interest is in how societies and communities adapt to major change and my current thesis work involves studying forestry towns that have lost their timber mill. This research has implications for climate change because it examines the ways in which communities cope with complex problems that impact their wellbeing and function. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in International Development Studies from the University of Winnipeg.
I have also travelled fairly extensively throughout Canada and the world and enjoy good tea and coffee, canoes, and wilderness.
