Who is responsible? Whose land is it anyways?

Are the responses to climate change by local and national governments and international agencies respecting the rights to own and use land and natural resources? What is the impact of climate change-related actions by local and national governments and international agencies on biodiversity and environmental conservation in your traditional territories?

So what do you think? Post your ideas here.

This is a concern, because we, Humans, and especially the United States are helping to enhance the deforestation. We are the biggest contributors to the fossil fuel pollution. Yet often we don't even realize what we are doing to the biosphere. We don't realize how we are contributing to the problem. We don't know if our beef is coming from our country or from a rainforest area that was cut down to form pastures. We don't know where the wood comes from when we go to the local store to purchase it. We are the ones sending people to these other countries persuading them to have these jobs.
