Their goals are to in the middle east create by force thier religion. They want the United states to have the same extreme values and since they dont they inflict terror on them cause they're crazy.

al-qaeda wants the middle east to protest in vailonce way in order alqaeda can reach thier goal for destrying the country trough thier onwn people.like how in afghanistan some pepole thought they can help them and once they got into power they killed thousand ennocent poeple with countries help.and thier goal for usa is not to invole it will be easy for them to invole and brain wash them.

I believe that Al-Quaeda's ultimate goal is to make this world his. We have seen many attempts where these eastern countries try to take over countries with terrorist attacks and killing innmocent people in their own countries. I think that we should work towards getting rid of these terrorist leaders and creata a world where we wont have to worry about being blown up from some terrorist that decides to bomb our western countries =)

I think we can all agree to that Schmidtj, but...how do we achieve that? What is the best way to establish peace? Conflict or cooperation?

The question is though, is the east willing to cooperate with us?

society has a way of working things out over time, it takes years and years of prep and hard work to disolve issues,it took 200 years for canada to evolve into what it is today, and it will keep evolving, the same goes for egypt, one day it will be a prospering country

IMHO: If they can trust that we are interested in making their lives better I think the majority of the people would be. We can't assume that the radicals such as Osama bin Laden speak for the majority.

Maybe the people are willing to cooperate with us but the leaders are who might not agree. since they live in a dictatorship, the leader makes all the decisions, and he might not want to accept help from us.
