Westernization

Will Western involvement make situations worse in the Middle East? What benefits would Western influence have? Would the Middle East be better off if other countries just let them be?

in my opinion i believe that Western involvement in the middle east does kind of make things more difficult because western beliefs are extremely different than that of middle eastern countries.

i do not believe that the country will seft sustain without western involvement. the reason these countries are being westernized in the first place is because we (the westerners) have the best markets for sales on things. this also will affect sales to and from these middle eastern countries

Western involvment in te Middle East can be good and bad. It can be bad in the sense that Western values may be forced upon middle easteners and they will object that idea. They may not want to change their values and religion. It can be good in the sense that Middle Eastern countries are having major problems wit poverty, their government, and in dealing with thier people. Westernization could help create stability in these countries.

Western involvement in the Middle East is fairly apparent. I believe that Western values are, indeed, imposed on the people living in the Middle East.

I feel it is all a matter of opinion. Westernization will mean that the Middle East has to change their ways, therefore it all comes down to if they are willing or not to do so.

If western influences can effectivly remove tyrant rulers from middle east countries and help establish a democracy then they should intervene. Even with western influces this doesnt seem to happen. Western countries should help by providing aid to these people until something permanent can be set up.

In a way, it seems like the people who are rebelling are starting to want to Western values. For example, many of those people want a democracy, which exhibits some Western values.

I feel that Westernization in Middle Eastern countries can be both a good and a bad thing. It is good for these people because they may want to be exposed to western ideas, but also they may think that these ideas will ruin the culture that they know today.

In my personal opinio, the situations in the Middle East can be solved with one simple concept that the Western World can't seem to grasp. The Western countries such as the USA need to just leave the Middle East alone and stop trying to make every other country have the same views as the Western World

westernization in egypt would have a huge impact towards its neighbouring countries, those who depend on egypt or look up to egypt would follow, and eventually the world as we know it would be one global western state

I believe that Western involvement would benefit them because working together for a good world is important. We need to look out for each other in order to live in harmony.

I think the countries in the middle east need to do their own "westernizing" in their own way. Westernization is what we call it when the ideas from the U.S. and Canada mske thir way to other countries. The people in the middle east should make a "middleeasternization" based on their ideas.

Everyone needs to help each other and cooperate. We have the means to assist them so we should.

The thing is, most middle eastern countries have religious values and beliefs fused into their laws and regulations. By westernizing the country they could risk losing some of their identity. Is this worth it?

I believe Western involvement in situations such as this would make the Middle East a better place. With their involvement however, I believe that they have to make a meaningful presence in the Middle East as opposed to the US presence in places such as Iraq in which I believe they are doing nothing meaningful. I don't believe that the Middle East will be any better off than they are right now if countries just let them be because it is a conflict between a dictatorship and its citizens.

if egypt westernizes,it will be both good and bad, good for the society, bad for the people, cultures are dying throughout the world because of westernization, sure it will promote better ideas and betetr ways of life, but tehse ways are impure

The use of violence was very effective. Talking to them did not make a difference so the use of violence is neccesary

From what I experienced yesterday, it seems that Western involvement would make matters worse. This is because, from what I experienced yesterday, they have a desire to be self-sufficient and not have to have other governments help them. If anything, someone barging in would make them even more mad.
