Structure or order?

Yes the two are not far from each other but look at it this way

Order- a command given by a superior

Structure- social organization: the people in a society considered as a system organized by a characteristic pattern of relationships

order can be looked at two ways, you are being told to do something by a member of authority over you, or an 'order' of which to do things.

In the middle east many people think that it was their leaders power, or 'order' over them that made them rise up. As I see it he was trying to make a uniform structure over the people by ordering them around.

Do you think that it was structure, and creating and equal living (whether it is good or not) or was it the leaders order and power over the people that the people were against?

order is important for egypt right now, the best thing is to keep the people safe and the country from falling apart, once a new government is set up, then structure is required to get the country moving again

I think that it was the orders from the rulers that people grew tired of in the countries of the middle east. Only the ruler gained anything from the orders to the people and with the desire for a democratic government, it was evident that wouldn't stand for long. I think that these countries need to establish a structure that pleases the wants of the public and with that the people will be more willing to conform to the orders.

i beleive that both structure and or order is needed to have a successful democratic government. everyone need to have stucture or else it just falls apart. but order is needed to keep people on track. Democracy is needed, i think that every government should be democratic. Everyone has a voice that they should be able to use. we live in the 21st century things are changing and people need to convert to democratic ways .w

I believe the people revolted moreso for 'structure' then anything else. They were fine with the 'order' they had lived with for a long time until the needs of their social contract, protection, food, etc., were no longer being met. Form of government doesn't really matter, most of the time people don't care what government does so long as their needs are being met. (Also why a Democracy is next to impossible to achieve, people don't care enough to vote on every issue presented to a country.)

Both structure and order seem to play a major role in the discontent of the people. An improper use of one's power will corrupt the structure and inflate the order assumed on the people. Too much order will make people revolt, as will to little. The same goes with structure. A balance is needed to keep the public safe and happy. It is difficult to maintain order and structure 100% of the time; therefore, I believe that leaders and governments will impose too much structure and order to stop any possible rebellion. This ironically will lead to revolution.

I think it was the leader's order which made the Egyptian people revolt. If it were not for corruption and the neglect of the people in Egypt, there would be no reason for it's citizens to rise up and revolt.

These are interesting theoretical concepts, but I don't see any mention here of impact on people's actual lives. I argue that in reality, a system of government is probably less relevant for people than their daily experiences. Things like having a job, living in dignity, being able to provide for your family, improve your situation through education or travel. In America, we take these things for granted. In many places in the world, being able to put bread on the table is not guaranteed. What would be enough to get you to take to the streets?

Right now I believe that structure is important at this time because I don't think order would do very much and people may rebel.I think that people having a solid structure would benefit more then order.
