How much do you think the protesters can effect the governers decisions?

As we've seen, the people of Libya have protested so much their government decided to step down. Could the other countries possibly do the same thing? Could the government maybe do something else?

instead of stepping down, they can change forms of government, electing new parties. The end result of a new government how ever is a new leader, unless the current leader is willing to change,in the case of egypt, the leader was old and its hard to teach an old dog new tricks, however if the leader would ahve been 40, a lot of disaster could have been avoided, protestors are people who speak out, and the government know that when you are outnumber 1000 to 1, you ahve to change for the better

if the government has made a decision on something it will be very hard to change their mind. they have the power to stop protestors but if the protestors are really serious about their ideas they can influence the governments decisions to a certain degree.

The prostestor has a greater large impact in government toward there country plus that it can help civils to gain there right of freedom. As we seen in lots of news specialy in Eauroup country protestor change their nation to what they can satisfy them and there nation.

I believe it all depends on how weak the governmental system is in the country. If a country has a weak government it would not take much to have someone step down. So protestors can make a big diference.

It seems to me that the citizens of a certain country can have the ability to change their country. This can be seen in numerous countries. These countries include Egypt, which we have just witnessed, and even the United States.

I think that the protestors can change the decisions of the government extremely well just based on how they protest and how strongly they protest. If their are nough people rioting in the streets because they believe in osomething, the government might have no choice but to listen to these people instead of killing all of their people.

The problem with most governments these days is that they tend to think in terms for what will benefit the country rather than what will benefit the people. The people take notice of this and revolt. Protesting has a dramatic effect on governments. People speak and the government listens, albeit grudgingly. Since protesting seems to work, I believe that citizens in other countries will revolt until their demands are met. The only way governments can prevent this is to listen to their people rather than their wallets.

Other countries could very well do the same thing for change. If the government wanted to avoid conflict with its citizens, all they would have to do would be to adhere to reasonable requests by the citizens.

The protesters are a huge group of people and as we can see the government is realizing what is going on in the protest and is somewhat listening to them. The government has stepped down and it all depends on how strong the government is.
