you can have a bake sale...high school kids love that and it will be a blast. Just make the baked goods at home with your group members and then watch the cash flow.... =D

Our school is doing a program called Hope for Haiti. In th program you donate $2.00 to buy a day of a month. Only one person can own a day so that we can maximize the money made. We figured $2.00 would work because in some countries you can pay a dollar to hire a teacher for a day so we decided to double it. Yu can buy as many days as you want or you can buy one day for as many years as you want. For example I bought my birthday for the next three years. So no I know that I am helping Haiti for the next three years. It is an awesome idea and I hope we can raise so much money that what the govenment matches will be crazy.

Try doing a penny carnival, one of those "Dye your hair for Haiti" thingies, an penny drive, a bake sale, change jars, bottle collecting, or just try standing outside of a store collecting money

Hey we are doing a fundraiser and every student sponsers a day off of the calendar. Most students do there birthday and then on your day, you know you made a difference in the world.

Instead of doing a bottle drive everyone should bring in there pop cans, pop jugs and milk jugs. I think this would work cause everytime I go to the bottle drive my family usaully gets $25 per visit.

High Park school had an awesome idea. We are posting a calender and for $2.00 you pay for that day. You can buy that day for 3 years or 10. You can also donate more money, $2.00 is the bar we set for everyone because it is double of how to pay for a teacher. The Canadian Government will match whatever we raise!
I belive that we should send more peace keepers to Haiti for helping with food and shelter. We should also take the amputees or the seriously injured to Canada by a plane so they can get the proper medicial attention they need and deserve. Then bring them back to their country to help re-build it. Also what abnout adoption of those poor litle kids that dont have parents and just sit there in tents waiting for disaster to strike again. The adoption agencies would hurry up and put it through some people here could have a kid to look after and care for.

maybe we can do a penny drive each class brings in pennies and who's ever class has the most pennies in a class they would get a price and with all the pennies we can donate them to haiti

High Park School had a very good idea o raise money for Haiti. We have decided to let the students to buy a date on a calender for $2. The $2 will help rebuil the school in Haiti. Each student can buy there date for the next years to come as well. We hope that many students will help out with this fundraiser. If there are still dates left on the calender students are able to buy more. High Park feels terrible about what happened in Haiti and wants the help.

At High Park we had the idea of having a calendar and people "buy" days on the calendar each day costs 2 dollars, and thats their day that they know they helped in Haiti. They can buy more days if they wish as long as theres days still left on the calendar. I think its a great idea and really is a good change from bake sales and change drives.

I think we should go with the calander idea because we've already started it and lots of people are buying dates.

Have students do odd jobs for teachers to help raise money. They bet on a price for the student ( the highest bet wins) then have them work with them for the day, by doing jobs like marking tests, papers.. etc. Every teacher needs a helper, so they can take a break.

Maybe you could do something along the lines of a school activity that the students have to pay a certain amount to participate in it and all funds go towards haiti?

Great new idea. What I like best about it is the personal involvement and commitment to action. When we give our time we give of ourselves. I wonder how we can best promote the idea of sharing our time and move away from the notion of servant (someone becomes your servant) to the idea that our contributions are valuable and deserve to be paid forward. http://www.takingitglobal.org/images/connections/db/emotes/smile.gif

A good idea for fundraising would be buying days on the calender like our school is doing. All you have to do is donate two dollars and choose a day that you want and that is your day. if you donate more then two dollars you get that day for the next year too. So, you could buy a day on the calender for 10 years if you want. I think that this is a good idea and could be used for any kind of fundraising.
