Should human kind focus its energy on mitigating the effects of climate change by altering our consumption patterns and limiting the growth of our economies, or, should we keep growing the economy, using fossil resources as our primary energy source

the world is more important than the economy

I believe that the people of this world should focus some of their energy on making climate change less severe than it has become. We can keep our economies growing and keep our consumption patterns relatively similar to what they are right now, but I do believe we should definitely put effort in to using less fossil fuels. The amount of fossil fuels we are burning has no need to be as high as it has become. We don't have to put our economies in jeopardy to help the environment. We can start small, and begin to lessen our dependability on these harmful fossil fuels, but we can still start trying. It does not need to be only to one side or the other. We can meet halfway and try to help our economy as well as the climate change phenomenon.

yes, human kind should focus on lessening the severity of climate change by lowering / changing consumption patterns. The growth of the economy will be a side thought when global warming gets so bad that we have trouble growing crops and finding the fossil fuels that we find our economies depending on. when we use and harvest fossil fuels we are creating more green house gases that will increase global warming, what will the world be in 25 years if we don't try to do any thing about climate change before it gets too severe to do anything about it?

The condition of our environment should be considered more important than the economy. If we don't take into consideration the effects fossil fuels have on the globe, it will only lead to irreversible damage, affecting both biotic and abiotic components of all ecosystems.

Our first priority should be to the environment, rather than the economy. Climate change is a big issue and as being the largest contributors of greenhouse gases, we need to look at all the aspects and come up with efficient solutions. Such as controlling and altering our consumption of fossil fuels and reducing the amount of greeenhouse gases we emit into the environment. I believe we should limit the growth of the economy and do everything necessary in our power to protect the environment.

I believe that if our planet becomes unsustainable for human life because of carbon emissions, that the economy wont matter. With out a doubt I think that there should be a limit on the economy and that measures shoud be taken to improve our environment.

We are obligated to our future generations to start to find ways to conserve our natural resources so we have enough to continue with a habitabal enviroment that will outlast the life of our generation.

In order to improve the issue of climat change, I think canadians should limit the use of fossil fuels, and just be more easy on their most important resources.

We have a resiponsibility to protect this plant and try to keep our effects under control. Despite this though our economy is improtant and I believe that is more important to run it as beinfitial as possible. There is a fine balance and alternative soulutions should be looked into. Even though more can be done its not in the economy's best interest and drastic changes shouldnt be taken.

I think that human kind should focus on mitigating the effects of climate change by altering our consumption patterns and limiting the growth of our economies. I believe that if we just continue to keep growing the economy, using fossil resources as our primary energy source we will eventually run out or something ): and our earth will DIE . jokes. but seriously its no good.

The environment is more important.

The economy is inportant, but so is the enviroment. Which is why we should not harm either but come to a comprimise between the two. We should alter consumption patterns, but not limit the growth of the economy. We should change our resourse base and search for other resourses to use besides fossil fuels.

I think the climate change is a serious problem for all of us. We pollute our environment too much and in my opinion the world is more important, so we should take a better care of it.

Human kind should make attempts to mitigate the effects of climate change becauce its affecting the world we live in, and its the only one we have, so we should try and preserve and protect it.

We should keep growing the economy but find more efficent ways of doing so,

we need to find other ways in order to contiue our way of life. Fossel fuels are limited and we will no longer have them in years to come. Our climate sure has taken some dammage by buring fossel fuels so if we contiue using themm not only there wont be anyu left by it will contiue dammaging our earth.

Huamn kind should start changing away from fossil fuels but over a large period of time. Things people do in their daily lives can not change themselves to adapt to sudden changes. This would also lower the effect it would have on the economy as if the changes took place suddenly, the amount of lost jobs would be way too much to handle in one time. We have to keep growing the economy as there are more people.

Obviously, fossil fuels aren't working out too well for us. We're growing smarter and more technologically advanced each generation, surely we can find something economically healthier to revive our dying planet.
